Day 3  Early in the morning start the 280km drive to our fishing camp on the Chuluut River. The Chuluut River winds its way through a steep basalt gorge, and the area is perfect for fly-fishing and white-water rafting. Spend the afternoon fishing and overnight at the camp. Day 4 – Day 9 Delight in a full five days of fishing and touring the local area. Camp each night by the rushing waters of the Chuluut.  Day 10 Return by jeep to the Karakorum tourist camp. Tour the Erdene Zuu monastery, which is located northwest of the site of the imperial city and was built using materials and stones from the ruins of Karakorum.  Construction of the monastery began in the 16th century and continued until the early 20th century.  At one time the monastery complex held over 600 temples and housed 1000 monks, but during the communist purges of the 1930s most of the temple buildings were destroyed and the monks sent into exile or killed.  At present Erdene Zuu is both a museum and a working monastery.  Spend the day visiting the museum, monastery and doing some souvenir shopping.
