Day 1 Meet & Greet on arrival and transfer to your downtown hotel. PM Walking Tour of Old Hanoi. Dinner & overnight at your Hotel

Day 2 Full day tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Army and Air Force Museum, “Hanoi Hilton” etc.  Evening cultural entertainment the ”Water Puppet Show”. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 3  Full day tour Halong Bay, including a local seafood lunch on board the cruise boat. PM return to Hanoi. Dinner in Hanoi before boarding the overnight train from Hanoi to Hue approximate times 2100-1000 AM next day arrival.

Day 4 Arrival Hue approximately 1000 AM. Boat trip on the Perfume River, visit Ancient Pagoda, PM visit to the Hue Citadel. Dinner at local restaurant & overnight at hotel.

Day 5 Full day drive west to the battlefields of the Central Highlands, Hue/Dongha/Khe Sanh/Hue. DMZ area, visiting Camp Carrol, Rock Pile, Dar Krong Bridge, Khe Sanh Combat Base. Picnic box lunch included, dinner at a local restaurant in Hue.

Day 6  Today we drive south along the coast from Hue to Danang and onto Hoian – with a stop at Lang Co beach for a swim and lunch. Then up and over the Danang Pass with a photo opportunity at the summit, overlooking Danang Bay and North towards Hue. Stop enroute to Hoian at Marble Mountain a climb to the top with its overview of Danang towards the old US base now occupied by the Army of Vietnam. PM Walking Tour of old Hoian. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 7  Free day in Hoian town – time to relax by the hotel pool or do some shopping for well tailored clothes, or head to the beach just a ten minute drive out of Hoian. Another way to fill in your time is with a visit to ”China Beach” which is back towards Danang. Dinner & overnight.

Day 8 Full day visit down the coast to the site of the American massacre at the village of ”My Lai”, by members of  ”Charlie Company 1st Battalion 20th Infantry on the 16th march 1968. Enroute a stop at what remains of the old US Naval base at Chu Lai with a view from the Vietnamese Army memorial inland via a quarry from the main coastal road. Dinner & overnight at hotel

Day 9  Morning transfer to Danang to connect with the domestic AM flight between Danang & HCMC-Saigon . PM sightseeing of HCM City. Dinner & overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 10 Full day My Tho – Mekong Delta area. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 11  AM Half day tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels and adjacent range. PM free time back in HCM City for some exploring, or a visit to the markets. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 12 AM walk down to the hydrofoil jetty to take your journey over to Vung Tau. PM visit Long Phuoc tunnels & Museum, Long Tan site, return for dinner & overnight.

Day 13 Full day tour to the old site of Nui Dat, Horse Shoe & Minh Dam. Dinner & overnight in Vung Tau.

Day 14 AM free Vung Tau. PM visit Baria Town the AVVRG Inc. Orphanage. Return to HCM City via Bien Hoa Museum home to the original Long Tan Cross (They say !)  Dinner tonight on the Saigon River, with a mini cruise – there is ample time on the return to visit some of the night life establishments . Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 15 Full day visit Bau Bang, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen along with “Coral” FSB.or I should say today’s rubber plantation on which the battle of Coral took place. Return to HCM City, dinner at ”Chateau restaurant” with a range of local Vietnamese specialties.

Day 16 AM at leisure (free time) in HCM City until late AM transfer out to your flight home.
