Amarbayasgalant Monastery

Day 1. Arrival
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. Optional half or full day tours are available.

Day 2. Amarbayasgalant
After breakfast drive to Amarbayasgalant monastery. Upon arrival visit monastery located in the beautiful valley. Overnight stay in a ger camp. (L/D)

Day 3. Moilt eco lodge
Depart for Moilt eco lodge. On the way visit Uran togoo, an extinct volcano. In the afternoon reach Moilt eco lodge. Lots of opportunity for hiking, river swimming, traditional archery and other games. (B/L/D)

Day 4. Moilt eco lodge
After breakfast visit local nomadic family to witness their daily life such as distilling milk wine, butter churning, dried curd making and yoghurt producing. Have lunch with family. Afternoon prepare for horse riding while watching how nomads catch horses from the herd. Here you can pick your horse to ride. After short horse riding return to the camp for dinner and night rest. Day 5. Moilt eco lodge
First day of horse riding is 35-45km and we head south following the banks of Khanui and Tsagaan rivers. Packed lunch on the way on the river bank. Return to the ger camp for overnight stay. (B/L/D)

Day 6. Moilt eco lodge
Riding north through mountains for 35-45km. The area is well known for its abundant petroglyphs which are available for photo taking. Picnic lunch. Late afternoon return to the lodge. After dinner learn how to make ropes using processed hide. (B/L/D)

Day 7. Ulaanbaatar
After early breakfast head back to Ulaanbaatar. Lunch on the way at a ger camp. Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar transfer to hotel. (B/L)

Day 8. Departure
Transfer to train station or airport for international departure.
