Tiahuanaco is renown for its unique architecture

Day 1: CUZCO – PUNO
Breakfast at he hotel. Transfer to bus station and assistance. Transfer on touristic bus to Puno, where on route passengers will visit the following sites: i. The town of Ayaviri, an important livestock and textile center, for a visit to the impressive Tmple of Kalasasaya, remnants of the ancient Pucara Culture. ii. Racchi, where we can see the spectacular Inca sanctuary built by Inca Pachacutec, and dedicated to the great Inca God of Wiracocha. It has a great central wall a stone base of fine Inca architecture. Other alss are made of giant adobe bricks. The structure also has two circular lateral columns. Around the Temple are several buildings once used for housing and storage. iii. Andahuaylillas, where passengers will visi the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sisitne Chapel of the Americas, due to its decorated polychrome ceiling and its colonial church, known as the Sistine Chapel of America. Greet at bus station and transfer to hotel. Lunch is included on a local  restaurant on the way to Puno. After an 8-hour journey, arrival to Puno

Day 2: PUNO – TITIKAKA LAKE
Early land transfer to Copacabana Sanctuary, board the Catamaran Cruise Ship, lunch while sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire.  Visit the Inca Garden, steps and fountain then the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean cameloids. Also, the Inti Wata Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka Traditional vessel for a panoramic visit to the Pilkokaina Inca Palace. Catamaran Cruise to Sun Island’s isolated Challapampa Village ½ a day of participative tourism, visitors have the opportunity to interact with one of the most unspoiled indigenous Titikaka villages through an innovative program organized with the local community sharing rituals, ceremonies, folkloric demonstrations, visiting their own museums, houses, chapel, school, sailing in their vessels to an Inca holy temple, walking through Inca trails and receiving authentic welcome gifts. Day 3: TITIKAKA LAKE – LA PAZ
Next day early in the morning, you´ll start the soft trek from Challapampa Village to Yumani on the south side of the Sun Island. The trek takes approximately two hours and a half until three hours. On the way you´ll pass typical villages with their indigenous inhabitants, cameloids and you´ll enjoy the beautiful landscape with the island flora and fauna. Catamaran Cruise Ship sail across the lake enjoying the overwhelming panorama.  Land transfer to La Paz city.

Day 4: LA PAZ
Half day city tour and visit to the Moon Valley. Visit a typical Indian Market, the famous Witch Doctor’s Market and the San Francisco Colonial Church. The tour continues to the Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress buildins are located. Then, we will visit the famous colonial street “Calle Jaen” where interesting museums are clustered together, followed by the visit  to the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of the Tiwanaku Culture. To  change the scenery the tour continues to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida. The tour ends with a visit to the unique Moon Valley, where you will have the opportunity to walk around, and  visit to a ceramic workshop with a demonstration of the art of pottery. Half day visit the Tiahuanacu ruins. Visit the former capital of a civilization that flourished about the year 700.  Some 44 miles from La Paz, Tiahuanaco was one of the biggest cities in the world with more than 100,000 inhabitants.

Day 5: LA PAZ / . . .
Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
