The Greek Theatre at Apollonia

Day 1 – Tripoli
Upon arrival to Tripoli, you will be met by Stylish Holidays representative and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2 – Tripoli/ Sabratha
After breakfast, Sightseeing Tripoli National Museum. Drive to visit Sabratha 60 km west of Tripoli, site was  founded since the beginning of the first  millennium BC, by the Phoenicians as a trading centre. This city was once the Roman centre for trade of African animals and ivory and its former wealth is still evident in its ruins. Enjoy the scene of its stunning colonnaded theatre. Return Tripoli. Flight to Benghazi for overnight

Day 3 –  Ptlomais/ Qasr Libya/ Cyrene
After breakfast, start a full day excursion to the stunning Greek/Roman city of Cyrene. Originally a Greek city founded in the 7th BC. On way to Cyrene visit Ptolemais (Tolmeita) a Greco- Roman site, founded in the 4th Century BC. Visit its museum with fine mosaics ,and the fountain representing the Eight Dancing Menadi , the Columns Palace and a huge cistern complex. Continue your way to stop at Qasr Libya where we visit the interesting museum housing more than 50 pieces of mosaic artifact fragments dating back to the 6th century A.D, before arriving to Cyrene resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Cyrene/ Apollonia
After breakfast, sightseeing at  the World Heritage Site of Cyrene, see the Temple of Apollo, Acropolis, Forum House of Jason Magnus and. the Temple of Zeus. The Necropolis was one of the largest in the ancient world. Over 1200 multiple grave tombs are to be seen today. Continue to Apollonia, which was the port of Cyrene and is located 20kms to the north of Shahate” Cyrene”. A detailed visit that includes the majestic Theatre, the Roman baths and a Byzantine palace. Return to Cyrene for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Ras Alhilal/ Hawa Fateh/ Alathroun- Benghazi
After breakfast check out and drive to visit Ras Alhilal  and Alathroun and visit the very old Byzantine churches, then the  huge cave  Hawa Fateh, on way to Benghazi, the second largest city in Libya, to take the internal flight to Tripoli.

Day 6 – Tripoli/ Leptis Magna
After breakfast start  your tour with an excursion to the magnificent Roman site of Leptis Magna . This is considered the best Roman site around the entire Mediterranean. Originally founded and developed as a major port by the Phoenicians and then became a colony of Carthage. Visit the Theatre, Forum, Villa Silin Baths, Sports Ground, Nymphaeum and Temples.
Return to Tripoli  for flight to Sebha.  Overnight in Sebha.

Day 7 – Sahara Lakes
After breakfast, 4X4 vehicles drive through the huge sand dunes towards the magnificent Sahara lake of Mandara and Um Al-Ma. Have the opportunity to explore on foot among the sand dunes in the surrounding areas of the Um Al-Ma lake where your “hidden adventures” skill will be awoken and you will be enticed to have some adventures which you have never experienced anywhere else in the world. Having a sun bath and swimming in this big secure lake Um Al-Ma with green banks surrounded by mountains of golden sand dunes will give you a very good pleasure.  Enter the Ubari Sand Sea to experience the great dunes and visit the desert lake of Gabroun . Time to rest and enjoy a cooling swim at Lake Gabroun surrounded by Palm trees . Camping among the dunes, close to the lake.

Day 8 – Sahara Lakes/ Germa/ Tripoli
Drive to Germa by 4×4. Visit its designated natural museum that offers spectacular desert and mountain scenery. Engravings that extend back 10,000 years show the development of human societies and the animal life that was once abundant in the Sahara, such as Giraffe and Elephant. Continue to Sebha airport for your flight to Tripoli.

Day 9 – Tripoli/ Back home
Breakfast, free time at leisure. Transfer to Tripoli airport for your departure flight.
