Day 1- Tripoli
Upon arrival at Tripoli airport you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight
Day 2 – Tripoli/ Sebratha
Morning sightseeing in Tripoli, capital city of Libya, including the superb National Museum, Green Square, Arch of Marcus Aurelius and the mosques and souks of the old town where lunch will be taken at an old restaurant. In the afternoon, excursion to the Roman city of Sebratha with its remarkable Colonnaded Theatre.
Day 3 – Sebha
Day’s drive to Sebha with overnight
Day 4 – Acacus Mountain
Enter the Acacus and meet your camel master. Spend the day forming a “mutual admiration” with your chosen camel, learning to ride, mount and dismount. Camping overnight.
Days 5/6/7/8/9/10 – Acacus Mountain/ Germa
Camel trek exploration of the magnificent Acacus with its spectacular scenery and millennia-old rock art. Wild camping with last night in Germa.
Day 11- Al Awainat
End of safari. Overnight at Al-Awainat campsite.
Day 12- Sebha
Drive to Sebha for overnight
Day 13 – Gharyan
Full day’s drive north to Gharyan.
Day 14 – Leptis Magna/ Tripoli
Excursion to the magnificent Roman city of Leptis Magna. Continue to Tripoli for overnight
Day 15 – Tripoli/ Back Home
Free time at leisure until transfer to Tripoli airport for departure flight
