Day 1.
We will meet you in Ulaanbaatar. Lunch at the hotel. Optional city sightseeing tour, including a visit to the National History Museum and the Zaisan Hill war memorial, with a panoramic view of the city. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2.
Flight to Ulgii, the center of Bayan-Olgii province. Lunch in Ulgii and stop in Ulaan Hus village on the way to Mt. Tavan Bogd by jeep. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 3.
Continue the drive to Mt. Tavan Bogd by jeep. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4.
Acclimatization and preparation for mountain climbing. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5.
A full day of climbing in the Tavan Bogd area. Trekking to the N1 camp by the side of the Potanin glacier through some moraine and several large crevasses. It will take approximately 6 hours depending on snow conditions. Overnight stay in tent.

Day 6.
Reach the summit of the Khuiten peak (4374m). The climb will take approximately 4 hours. Descend to camp N1 and return to the base camp.

Day 7.
Day of rest and preparation for the next climb. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 8.
Cross the glacier and climb the chosen peak. Return to base camp.

Day 9    .
Drive to Ulaan Khus village and camp overnight.

Day 10.
Return to Ulgii. Visit the local museum and nomadic Kazakh families to learn more about their lifestyle. Overnight on the banks of the Khovd River.

Day 11.
Drive to Tolbo Lake. Overnight in tent.

Day 12.
Drive to the summer camp of Altan Tsogt village and Mount Tsamba Garav.

Day 13.
Trekking around the mountain.

Day 14.
Climb to the peak of Tsamba Garav (4,165m).

Day 15.
Drive to Khovd town. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 16.
Flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Farewell dinner in a restaurant.

Day 17.
Departure.

Personal Equipment Requirements: Ice axe, crampons, altitude tent, three season sleeping bag, mattress, harness, ascender & descanter, 1 x ice screw, 3 x screw gate karabiners, 3 x tape slings, plastic mountaineering boots, & snow protection over-boots, trekking boots, down suit (combo), first aid kit.
