The Mai Chau Valley
Day 1: Hanoi – Hoa Binh – Mai Chau (-/L/D)
In the morning your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby. Depart for Mai Chau valley. You may want to have a coffee stop to have the first look at the mountainous scenery before asking for some more stops for photos shots while you are at tops of passes to enjoy the very beautiful scenery and the superb panorama of Mai Chau surrounded by a green valley and stilt houses. Warmly welcome to the village of the White Thai people. Time to relax and explore the house-on-stilts before having lunch cooked by the host. Afternoon you will have a walk wandering from village to village, learning and get in touch with about local people and try some of the local handicraft. Back to your local house for dinner. Tonight you will overnight stay in the house-on-stilts with a traditional matt, mosquito net, blanket. You may share the house with other international tourist.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B/L/-)
After breakfast you will take a bike riding deeper to the remote area on the path and passing paddy fields. Once again there are many perfect chance for photos shot and a warmest welcome by local people. The Sunday market with people from different minorities is worth to stop before back to your house-on-stilts for lunch and say good bye to the host and drive back to Hanoi.
