Day 01:Wadi Bani Awf – Al Hamra – Nizwa
We depart Muscat in the morning and drive to Barka to visit the lively fish market. Continue to the magnificent Nakhl Fort, visit the fort and proceed to Wadi Bani Awf. Marvel at the natural beauty of this wadi passing oleander, mango and lime trees. We enter the Jebel Akhdar mountains and reach Bilad Sayt, the most idyllic village with a wealth of verdant terraces. The graded track winds through breathtaking mountain scenery reaching a height of up to 2’800 meters. Passing stunning gorges and small oases with water pools we reach the old village of Al Hamra and proceed to Nizwa. Overnight / Breakfast in Nizwa

Day 02: Bahla – Jabreen – Jebel Shams
Drive to Bahla and stop at the UNESCO listed fort still under restoration. Continue to visit Jabreen Fort, the most beautiful fort of Oman. The fort has an interesting architecture and captivating ceiling decorations. Proceed to Jebel Shams, the “THE MOUNTAIN OF THE SUN” and the highest point of the Hajar Mountains. Explore the gorgeous landscape and the canyons. Walk through Wadi Ghul. The area is home to weavers of heavy woolen rugs in distinctive red, black and brown geometric designs. Picnic lunch en route. Return to Nizwa. Overnight / Breakfast in Nizwa

Day 03: Nizwa – Muscat
Nizwa, the former cultural and political capital of Oman is famous for its 17th Century impressive Fort. Visit the Fort and the traditional souk.  Continue to Birkat Al Mouz and return via Fanja to Muscat.
